Advisory services

Advisory sessions, workshops, reviews and build engagements are provided by FeatherON LTD (the Company), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17011469, trading as FeatherON. Booking and payment are processed through Cal.com and Stripe.

Booking and payment

  • Fees are as stated on the Services page at the time of booking.
  • Payment is taken at the time of booking via Stripe checkout.
  • Rescheduling and cancellations are handled through Cal.com: cancellations with at least 48 hours' notice receive a full refund; within 48 hours the session may be rescheduled once.

Digital products (shop)

  • Purchases from the shop are digital downloads sold by the Company, trading as FeatherON. Card payments are processed by Stripe; prices are stated in GBP and exclude VAT unless otherwise stated at checkout.
  • On successful payment, a download link is emailed to the address used at checkout. To protect the licence, each link is single use: it downloads the files once. If a download fails, one replacement link can be requested from the shop page and is emailed to the same address. Beyond that, email hello@featheron.com with your order reference and we will issue another. Links always serve the latest version of the product, and remain requestable for one year from purchase.
  • Licence: each purchase licenses the product for internal use by one company. You may edit, adapt and use the files within your organisation, including in pursuit of your own certifications. You may not resell, sub-license, redistribute or publish the files, in whole or in part.
  • Download links are personal to the purchaser; sharing them outside your organisation breaches the licence.
  • Because digital products are delivered immediately, they cannot be "returned" - but if a file is defective or does not match its description, email hello@featheron.com for a replacement or refund. If you are a UK consumer, your statutory rights (including in relation to digital content) are not affected.
  • Templates provide a documentation framework, not legal advice; you remain responsible for their adequacy to your organisation and regulatory context.

Client portal and electronic signatures

Proposals, statements of work and other documents may be shared with you through the client portal at https://featheron.com/portal. These terms govern that use.

  • Access. The portal is reached by entering the email address a document was sent to and then a one-time code sent to that address. There is no password. Codes expire after 15 minutes and work once; a session ends after 8 hours. Access is personal to the addressed recipient and must not be shared.
  • Conditions of access. On first sign in you are asked to accept the conditions of access (version 1.0), which cover confidentiality, non-sharing and activity logging, and which apply the mutual NDA at https://featheron.com/nda. Acceptance is recorded with the date, time and network address, and no document is reachable until it is given.
  • Electronic signature. Where a document requests a signature, typing your name and confirming the on-screen statement creates an electronic signature. You agree that this signature has the same effect as a handwritten one, that it is admissible as evidence, and that neither party will dispute the validity of an agreement solely because it was signed electronically. This reflects section 7 of the Electronic Communications Act 2000 and Regulation (EU) 910/2014 as retained in UK law.
  • What is not covered. The portal is for ordinary commercial contracts. It is not used for deeds, guarantees, wills, powers of attorney, or any document that must be witnessed or executed in a particular statutory form. Those are handled separately.
  • Signed copies. On signature both parties receive the document with a certificate page recording the signatory, the time, how their identity was verified, the document fingerprint and the full activity trail. That certificate, and the underlying records, are the evidence of agreement. Signed documents and their trail are retained for 7 years.
  • Withdrawal and expiry. A document that has not been signed may be withdrawn by us or may reach its expiry date, after which it no longer opens. Documents already signed are not affected: withdrawing an offer cannot retract an agreement already made.
  • Accuracy of the record. The activity trail for each document is cryptographically chained, so entries cannot be altered or removed without detection. You can view the trail for your own documents in the portal at any time.

Certification Pass Programme

The Certification Pass Programme is quoted, never listed. It starts with a call: the Company scopes the work with the client and issues a written proposal naming the standard being certified against, the certification body, and the assessment days that body has allocated. The guarantee takes effect only once that proposal is agreed, and applies only to the standard named in it.

If the Company delivers the programme as set out in the agreed proposal and the client does not achieve certification against that standard, the Company refunds the certification body's fee for the specific assessment days covered by the proposal, so the client is not out of pocket for the audit itself. The refund is of the fee actually invoiced by the certification body and paid by the client, evidenced by that invoice.

Scope of engagements

Advisory engagements provide professional opinion and recommendations based on the information shared by the client. They do not constitute legal advice, a guaranteed outcome, or an ongoing support commitment beyond what is described in the offering, the one exception being an agreed Certification Pass Programme proposal, which carries the guarantee set out above. The client remains responsible for decisions made and implementations carried out in their environment.

Confidentiality

All information shared during an engagement is treated as confidential. An NDA can be executed before the engagement on request.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, the Company's total liability under an engagement is limited to the fee paid for that engagement. The audit-fee refund under the Certification Pass Programme sits outside that cap and is payable as described in that clause.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of England and Wales.
